Work With Us

There are two ways we can work together. Both are straightforward, both are honest, and both are designed to get your venue in front of the people who are actively looking for somewhere to go in Brighton.

Reviews

We visit your venue, experience it as a customer would, and write an honest review with professional photography. You invite us, agree a budget for food and drinks for two, and we do the rest.

  • Honest, independent review
  • Professional photography
  • Preview for factual accuracy
  • Full SEO-optimised listing

Budget guidance

Enough for two people to have the full experience — starters, mains, drinks, dessert if that's your thing. We're not looking for a tasting menu for twelve. Just a genuine visit.

Promotional content

Professional photography, editorial write-ups, and feature content for launches, seasonal menus, events, or anything you want to shout about. Clearly labelled as promotional — you approve it before it goes live.

  • Professional photography
  • Editorial write-up
  • Venue approval before publication
  • Clearly labelled as promotional

Pricing

Project-based — depends on what you need. Drop us an email and we'll give you a straightforward quote. No hidden fees, no retainers.

What we don't do

  • No paid placements disguised as reviews
  • No guaranteed positive coverage
  • No unlabelled advertising

Our readers trust us because we're honest. That trust is what makes a Brighton Insider feature worth having. Read our full editorial standards.

The process

1

Get in touch

Tell us about your venue and what you're looking for — a review, promotional content, or both. We'll get back to you within a couple of days.

2

Agree the details

We'll confirm the scope, timing, and — for promotional content — the cost. For reviews, we'll agree the visit budget. No surprises on either side.

3

We deliver

We visit, write, photograph, and publish. Reviews get a factual accuracy preview. Promotional content gets your full approval. Simple as that.

Let's talk

Common Questions

How much does a review cost?
Reviews aren't paid for. The venue covers food and drinks for the reviewer and a companion — enough for two people to have the full experience. That's the only cost. The review itself is independent editorial content.
Can you guarantee a positive review?
No. We never guarantee positive coverage. That's the whole point — if we did, the review would be worthless to readers and to you. What we can guarantee is that the review will be honest, fair, and well-written, with professional photography.
What if we don't like the review?
You get a preview before publication to check for factual errors — wrong prices, misspelled names, dishes that have changed. We correct facts. We don't change opinions. If the experience was good, the review will reflect that. If it wasn't, we may choose not to publish rather than run a negative piece (see our editorial standards).
What counts as promotional content?
Anything the venue commissions and approves: launch photography, menu feature write-ups, seasonal campaign content, event promotion. It's clearly labelled as promotional on the site. You get final approval before it goes live.
Do you work with chains?
We focus on independent and locally-run businesses. If you're a chain with a genuine local story — a Brighton-born brand, a franchise run by someone who lives here — we're happy to talk. But our readers come to us for independent Brighton, and that's what we prioritise.
We're not listed on Brighton Insider yet — can we still work with you?
Yes. If you're a Brighton & Hove venue and you're not yet on the site, we can add your listing as part of the process. If you are on the site, claim your listing for free at any time — edit it, add offers and events, no partnership required.
