About Brighton Museum & Art Gallery

Right next to the Royal Pavilion, which means you can do both in an afternoon. The permanent galleries cover Brighton history, fine art, world cultures (including actual Egyptian mummies), and a fashion and style collection that's better than you'd expect. The Mod scooter is a highlight for anyone who's seen Quadrophenia. Closed Mondays. Part of the Pavilion estate, so the building has a bit of character of its own. Exhibitions change regularly and the family trails during school holidays are well done.
