Is claiming my listing free?

Yes, completely free. Claim it, keep it accurate, list your events and offers — no charge. Featured positions and paid promotion are coming later and will always be clearly labelled.

How do you check I own the business?

Sign in with an email at your business's website domain, or with the address already shown on your listing, and the claim verifies instantly. Otherwise add a link to Brighton Insider on your website (we check it within a day) or tell us who you are and a person reviews it, usually within two working days.

Do I need to link back to Brighton Insider?

Not to claim. A normal link from your website earns the Verified badge, a spot in Recently Claimed on the homepage, and a welcome post on our social channels — and it helps us keep the directory free.

What can I update once claimed?

Description, opening hours, contact details, menu link, social links, amenities, photos and FAQs — from your account, with a person checking every change before it goes live. You can also submit events and time-limited offers, and send news to the editorial desk.

What link options do I have?

A simple text link, our seagull stamp, or one of our logos all work. You can keep rel="noopener" or rel="noreferrer" for a new-window link. Please do not add nofollow, ugc, or sponsored to the Brighton Insider link, as those stop it qualifying.

Can I remove my listing?

Yes. Contact us and we'll remove it. But most businesses find being listed brings genuine local traffic.
